Home Meal Assistance
SCA families should have received an email or letter about the new program called SUN Bucks. This program is a government grocery assistance for families who qualify. If your child already receives free or reduced meals at SCA, they automatically qualify. (Please check the address on the letter sent home with your student. If it isn't correct, please contact Becky Self at SCA).
If you did not receive a letter, please apply at the link below.

🌞 Free Summer Meals Announcement! 🍽️
We're thrilled to announce that we'll be offering free summer meals for kids and teens aged 18 and under at the SCA from June 3, 2024, to July 26, 2024! 🎉 Here are the details you need to know:
📅 Dates: June 3, 2024, to July 26, 2024 (Closed on July 4 & 5)
⏰ Meal Distribution Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
🍳 Breakfast: Grab-and-go non-congregate meal available, with the option to take 5 days' worth at a time (just like last year!).
🥪 Lunch: Available for on-site consumption or take-away.
📝 Note: If a parent or guardian is picking up meals and the children are not present, we'll need the names of the children.
But wait, there's more! 🎪
We'll also be offering free summer meals at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds from July 8 to July 12!
🎪 Dates: July 8, 2024, to July 12, 2024
🍴 Meal Distribution: All meals will be grab-and-go.
🕚 Timing: Pick up your meals and a snack between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
🔍 Note: There's a separate menu for the fairgrounds meals (see below).
Important Information Regarding SCA Café and Adult Meals: During the fair week, the SCA café will remain open. Adults can purchase lunch at SCA for $4.00. Please note that NO adult meals will be sold at the fairgrounds. We can accept payment in cash or check; however, we are not set up for cards.
Financial Sustainability: It's essential to note that the state reimburses for the meals served to the children. If we do not have participation, the program will operate in the red, and we will not be able to offer meals in the summer for those who need them.
Accessibility for All: This program is NOT income-based; it's for everyone in the community, even if you don’t attend SCA.
Menus: Attached, you'll find the menus for both sites.
We welcome everyone in the area to join us at the fairgrounds for nutritious meals for their children. Spread the word and let's make this summer a healthy and happy one for all!
